Anything is Possible

Many weeks ago as I sat down to meditate, my thoughts mulled over the fact that my first book, Soul Healing with Our Animal Companions, had been nominated for a COVR Visionary Award (Body-Mind-Spirit) in the iconic category. I’d learned that there were nine additional book nominations in the same category, and one of them was literally one of my all-time favorite spiritual books, The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer.

I couldn’t help but laugh. Why in the world would I even try to get votes when there were so many books nominated, including one of the greatest spiritual books ever written? It didn’t make any logical sense to spend time on marketing and soliciting votes. In that moment I made my decision. It would be of no use to take any action.

My eyes closed and I relaxed deeply into my meditation time. As my mind cleared, I suddenly and unexpectedly heard a voice say: "Anything is possible." The words were so clear that I knew it was coming directly from spirit. Apparently, I was being guided to take action and not sit idly by and do nothing.

And that is why I sat watching the livestream of the COVR awards show Saturday evening with my mouth agape when they announced that my book had won the top Gold Medal Award in that category. Truly, I am still dumbfounded as to how this win could have logistically happened. Ten books. 6700 voters. I would estimate a few hundred people saw my two FB posts and opened my one marketing email asking for votes.

Clearly, anything really is possible.

Today, I realized the bigger message and gift in this timely lesson as the world is in the center of a massive transformational period of unrest and upheaval unlike we have ever seen. Suddenly, humanity is no longer complacent. Many are no longer thinking that their actions will not or cannot make a difference. Endless people are all of a sudden inspired to use their voices, skillsets, and influence in ways they previously thought would not be enough to bring about change.

The bottom line is that complacency does not bring our soul the growth it longs for. Be it a personal or global issue, if we are complacent things will remain the same, or they will get worse. Typically, things will begin to get more and more uncomfortable until a spark of hope is ignited in our soul and we are inspired to take that first step out of our comfort zone, despite not knowing if our desired result is attainable. It all begins with a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, anything is possible.

Life is like a book. If we don’t turn the page, we will never know what the next chapter holds.

My heartfelt gratitude to each and every person that took the time to vote for Soul Healing with Our Animal Companions, for you helped to bring forth this powerful message of hope that together we truly can create miraculous and wonderful outcomes.
